Note: Some important steps should be taken before transfer domain to another registrar.
If domain has expired with old Registrar and you renewed domain with old Registrar, please do not transfer it within 45 days of the previous expiry date. Otherwise, an additional year would not be added to your domain name since the loss of the registrar in such cases revokes the renewal. And you would lose fees paid for renewal. Domain Transfer is not free. You will pay domain transfer fee to the new registrar.
Verify Domain Name Is transferable:
Per ICANN regulations, a domain that has been newly registered or transferred from one Registrar to another within the last 60 days is not eligible for transfer. Wait at least 60 days before your transfer.
Start Domain Transfer:
After sign in your account and go to Domain Dashboard, select domain DNS and remove privacy of domain. Remove privacy domain is necessary before domain transfer. Also Unlock your domain if domain is locked.
Got Auth/EPP code from the Current Registrar:
You can click on Auth/EPP code on domain setting dashboard. You will receive Auth/EPP code on your account register email. You can also contact your current Registrar and request for domain Auth/EPP code.
Submit Domain transfer Details To New Registrar :
Log in New Registrar, select your domain and select Transfer a Domain. Enter your domain name & Auth/EPP code. Click on ‘Start Transfer’ and New Registrar will verify the domain is ready for transfer. Click to ‘Add to Cart’. Enter any coupon code you may have and click ‘Apply’. Recheck domain details and go to Proceed to Checkout.
Check your register email and new registrar domain dashboard. If domain dashboard show ‘Pending Transfer’ status wait some minutes. If domain transfer fail contact old and new registrar.
